CO₂ Cylinders Are Classified as Dangerous Goods
By law, the commercial transport of these items is only permitted under specific conditions and regulations, including strict requirements for packaging and labeling, due to the high risk associated with their handling.
When returning full CO₂ cylinders (Right of Withdrawal), the following instructions must be followed:
Special Conditions for Returns
1. Sealing
CO₂ cylinders may only be shipped if equipped with the appropriate protective cap, securely screwed on. In addition, any product containing liquid must be safely sealed to prevent any leakage during transport.
2. Packaging Instructions
We kindly ask you to reuse the original GESSI packaging, which already bears the legally required symbols for the shipment of dangerous goods.
- Please ensure that these symbols are clearly visible and legible.
- If not, replace them with the ones attached to this email.
If the original packaging is damaged, use a new, sturdy package suitable for transporting dangerous goods.
Print the hazard symbols (in color and in their original size) and affix them visibly to the outside of the package.
3. Shipping Labels
You will receive a return label by email.
Please attach it clearly to the package, ensuring that none of the dangerous goods symbols are covered.
- If you reside in SWITZERLAND, it is necessary to print and hand over the attached PROFORMA invoice to the courier for customs procedures.
- If you reside in PORTUGAL, please affix the green diamond label on top of the one with black-and-white borders, as required by regulations.
4. Shipping Procedure
Please drop off the package at your nearest TNT (Italy only) or FedEx location and keep the proof of shipment carefully.
Alternatively, you can schedule a pickup by following the instructions provided in the return email.
